LUGAR_CERO: a different way of inhabiting the city. PETAR

La Organizacion Nelson Garrido (NGO), has invited Braunštajn Helena, researcher and curator art Serbian origin living in Mexico, who will share in a speech his most recent research entitled; LUGAR_CERO: a different way of inhabiting the city .

LUGAR_CERO is a draft article by the initiative of the Foundation Historic Center of Mexico City and its external partners, in order to experience the diversity of hues in connection contemporary art with the city and its inhabitants. It is a curatorial proposal comes after conducting a broader study about art linked to different social and cultural dynamics, based on these experiences, has developed a touring project that seeks to occupy, share, temporarily inhabiting different levels public space of the Historic Center.

leisurely transits within the city and especially the movements and variations in the ways of relating to art, are the foundation of Lugar_Cero. Jeronimo Hagerman, Ariel Guzik, Tania Candiani, Manuel Rocha, Marcelo Balzaretti, Amor Muñoz, Israel Martínez, Bruno Bresani, Rafael Balboa, Manuel Trujillo Morris are Mexican artists that have so far cooperated with the project. In addition to the artistic interventions Lugar_Cero includes the construction of information and knowledge through its Center for Research, whose results can be found here

Braunštajn Helena (Serbia, Mexico) studied civil engineering, art history and philosophy, has found the junction between these disciplines in contemporary art fair. Is a researcher and curator, writes and dedicated to teaching. His book The map of the Historical Center: imaginary territories was published by Books of the Plateau "and FCH Neighbor House in Mexico City. He has collaborated with various specialized media ( Rim-contemporary visual art, Exit Art Notes ) and has participated in advising on the development of artistic projects from different institutions (Casa Vecina, Compañía de Danza Tania Perez-Salas). He is currently conducting the curatorial project of public art Lugar_Cero.

The opportunity to talk to the researcher of art and a closer look that is what this art project and public space, will be at the headquarters of the NGO.
